John Deere improves cloud-based offering in Australia

A software upgrade for John Deere’s Operations Center cloud-based platform in Australia adds features designed to enable access to more farm information and better collaboration with partners.

Deere says that the software upgrade and new mobile apps give producers a more complete view of a farm operation, both in the office and on the go, to direct plans with more precision in the field.

The new tools and features include 2 apps available for iOS and Android devices from the John Deere App Center or App Store.

MyOperations app

This app allows current machine and operational information to be combined into a mobile-focused experience, gives access to in-cab displays and helps evaluate performance during and after field work to the benefit of field logistics.

MyAnalyzer app

This app provides mobile access to documented map layers and farm summaries away from the office.

In the Field Analyzer Maps section of Operations Center, the new Application and Harvest Speed maps can be used to evaluate field application and harvest operations performance to identify effects on yield outcomes.

Improving the use of forage

For self-propelled forage harvester operations, HarvestLab Constituent Maps provide data on acid detergent fibre (ADF), neutral detergent fibre (NDF), protein, starch and sugar content to help improve the use of forage.

In addition, data collected from Ag Leader InCommand 800 and 1200 and Raven Viper Pro, Viper 4 and Envizio Pro terminals can now be imported into Operations Center via USB or John Deere Mobile Data Transfer.

Deere recommends using JDLink Connect to link machines to the cloud and relieve users of the burden of data collection and transmission.
