Topcon introduces Norac Tillage Depth Control system

Topcon Agriculture introduces the Norac Tillage Depth Control system.

The new Norac Tillage Depth Control (TDC) uses the same technology as the Norac Boom Heigt Control system. Ultrasonic sensors automatically compensate for differing soil types and terrains, while maintaining the correct implement depth.

Norac TDC is, according to Topcon, "designed to turn tillage into a high-tech operation, regardless of tractor type." Also, Topcon speaks of a "set it and forget it" system that will automatically hit the correct cutting depth in all conditions and terrains. "In addition, operators can expect more accuracy than competitive systems, due to the patented technology powering the Norac ultrasonic sensors," says Topcon.

Norac TDC not confined to one brand

"The Norac TDC system is not confined to any one brand, age or model of tillage equipment, nor is it reliant on a Topcon display for operation. Rather, it can be installed on any trailed tillage tool with hydraulic lift and utilize a factory display that supports ISOBUS Virtual Terminal functionality," said Brian Sorbe, vice president of product solutions and IoT business development for Topcon Agriculture. "The system is bringing precision tillage farming for use even on tractors not equipped with the latest technical capabilities."

Less soil compaction

With the increased accuracy, the TDC system is designed to ensure tillage is done correctly with easy operation and minimal hassle. The automatic system reduces soil compaction and slippage in wet conditions, as well as increasing fuel and time efficiencies in the field.
