Dutch company Smart Agri Technology offers autonomous services to arable farmers using Robottis from AgroIntelli.

Precision agriculture company Smart Agri Technology was founded in 2019. They aim to offer a weed-free crop to the customer. The company also takes care of the cultivation, from sowing to harvesting, using Robotti robots from Danish manufacturer AgroIntelli.

Robotti for planting and weeding

The Robotti, paired with a Kverneland Optima seeder, will be used to plant different crops. Smart Agri Technology is developing a camera that monitors weed pressure and growth of the crop during cultivation. Other cameras monitor the row.

The robots go through the crop with hoes to keep it free of weeds. With the help of RTK GPS, the tool carriers always stay on the right track.

The company aims to start in April. During the season Smart Agri Technology will examine which other activities the robots can perform autonomously. The company is still looking for manufacturers that offer light machines that can be adapted to the Robottis.

AgroIntelli Robotti

AgroIntelli develops and manufactures autonomous robots for agriculture. The Robotti is an autonomous tool carrier with a diesel engine. The robot weighs 2,800 kg and is hydraulically driven through all four wheels. There are two engines: one for the PTO and one for the wheel drive. Both are Kubota three-cylinder engines with a capacity of around 55 kW (75 hp). The lifting device is category 2 and lifts 750 kg. The robots used by Smart Agri Technology are equipped with 255/75-15.3 tires.
