John Deere sprayers certified for Wingssprayer

After three years of testing, John Deere field sprayers have been certified for the Wingssprayer system. John Deere dealers in 62 countries can now offer the system when customers request low-emission spraying technology. John Deere offers sprayers with working widths of up to 40 meters.

Lighter and shorter

Starting in 2021, Wingssprayer will build the system in its own factory in the Netherlands. By doing it itself, the manufacturer is able to round off the wing better and make it more compact. This has resulted in a weight reduction of half a kilogram per meter.

Also, the wings are now less high, which is useful because most spray booms fold up above the wheels, and therefore there is limited space. The wings are now 3 cm less high.

The system is available for single-nozzle and double-nozzle systems. The latter is the most common, and for this you pay € 950 ($ 1.115) per meter.

Up to 99% drift reduction

To achieve the drift reduction requirements, the Dutch company Wingssprayer developed a system with wings that change the direction of the airflow just before the spray nozzles. The air “bounces” down and the crop protection agent is guided directly onto the plant. Dubex offers a similar system with the Dubex Wave.
