Trimble Ag Software updates

The Ag Software platform consolidates 3 agriculture products into 1 – Connected Farm, Farm Works Software and Agri-Data – to provide a single desktop computer, Cloud-based and mobile-enabled solution that aims to simplify farm data management. Subscribers can allow crop advisors and other stakeholders in the supply chain to access selected data, including Crop Health Imagery, a new feature powered by PurePixel technology designed to provide clear satellite images of crops. PurePixel uses a proprietary algorithm to analyse multiple sensor inputs and produce calibrated vegetative index maps throughout the growing season. This enables growers to compare crop health at each stage for more targeted crop scouting and inspection.

For managers, Work Orders aims to streamline the process of assigning and tracking field operations by enabling shared communications with the farm workforce through mobile devices. Workers can receive notes on daily tasks by cell phone, either exclusively or following a voice call, with details that may be misunderstood or misheard in a conversation – spray or fertiliser application details, for example.

The new features are available as a free upgrade for new and existing users of Ag Software Farmer Pro and Farmer Pro Plus subscribers.
