CNH Industrial and AppsforAgri introduce a new ‘IoT’ product portfolio called FarmXtend.

The FarmXtend Internet of things products are part of the recently introduced AGXTEND precision farming aftermarket brand.

FarmXtend is supplied by the Dutch AgTech company AppsforAgri B.V. This company specializes in innovative mobile apps, sensors and knowledge on weather and agronomy.

FarmXtend field sensors

The FarmXtend field sensors are wirelessly connected to the farmer’s smartphone, ensuring instant access to real-time farm data. “In the FarmXtend app data is combined with agronomic knowledge into decision supportive information, to protect and optimize yields and reduce environmental impact”, according to CNH Industrial and AppsforAgri.

The management of AppsforAgri B.V., Michel de Vree and Corné Braber commented: “It is a great opportunity for our company that our products will be widely available by cooperating with the Case IH, STEYR and New Holland Agriculture networks. This paves the way to focus on further development of new products and services. With our sensors and knowledge, we want to deliver a significant contribution in the worldwide demand for an efficient and sustainable food production, which is exactly in line with our vision.”

The app will be available early 2019.
