Ceres Imaging has raised $ 23 million in Series C funding. The investment will be used to develop more advanced AI applications that improve irrigation management practices and resource use efficiency at the farm level.

The company technology deploys real-time data via a digital mobile interface that allows growers to quickly quantify patterns of crop stress and prioritize corrective actions. High-resolution aerial imagery and advanced analytics help growers detect issues quickly, measure solutions based on ROI, and take action.

“We know AI is the future of farming when it comes to maximum efficiency, sustainability and profitability across an operation,” said Ashwin Madgavkar, CEO and founder at Ceres Imaging. “Coupling AI with remote sensing technologies, allows agriculture stakeholders to analyse their nutrient and water management in ways that wouldn’t have been possible just a few years ago.”
