The German machinery manufacturer Lemken has developed a new seed drill: the Solitair PT. This seed drill combination is intended for farmers and contractors who want to sow accurately and efficiently under varying soil conditions.
The Lemken Solitair PT is fitted as standard with a Zirkon rotary harrow. According to the manufacturer, this ensures a well-crumbled and level seedbed, even on different soil types. The working depth, rotor speed and driving speed can be set independently of each other. The levelling bar can be adjusted hydraulically or mechanically.

The Solitair PT is available with a single seed hopper of 4,400 litres or with a double hopper of 5,100 litres, suitable for seed and fertiliser. The metering system can handle various types of seed.
For sowing, the machine uses the OptiDisc coulter bar with double discs, which ensures precise seed placement. This is available in two versions: the OptiDisc M and the OptiDisc H. The M version (Medium) offers a maximum coulter pressure of 45 kg and is suitable for normal soils. The H version (Heavy) delivers up to 70 kg of pressure and has been developed for heavy or hard soils where more force is required to achieve the correct sowing depth.
The sowing depth and coulter pressure can be adjusted separately. This allows work to be carried out with the correct settings, even at higher working speeds and under varying conditions.
Lemken will present the Solitair PT seed drill combination for the first time during the Agritechnica trade fair. The international exhibition will take place from 9 to 15 November in Hannover, Germany.
