The Brazilian machinery manufacturer Stara introduced a new grain seeder at the Agrishow, the trade fair for agricultural technology in Brazil. The seeder can be operated using a smartphone.

The grain seeder from Stara works with a row spacing of 17 cm, and is available with either 29 or 33 rows working width. There is a 2,150 kg fertiliser bucket on the diesel, and the seed tank has space for 1,100 kg of seed.

Operation via Bluetooth considerably cheaper

A first at the Agrishow is that the machine can now be operated with the smartphone via Bluetooth. The idea behind this solution is that it is cheaper to purchase.

Operation with a terminal is still possible. That costs about € 11,000. Operation via a smartphone (Bluetooth) is significantly cheaper, the price ranging from € 180 to € 280.
