- Manufacturer: Jacto Agricultural Machines (Brazil)
- Robot: Arbus 4000 JAV
- Task(s): Autonomous sprayer
- Development start: 2008
- Pricing: to be determined
The Arbus uses a multifan system that uses a multicontrol spraying system with an intelligent section control; spraying will only take place where there is green mass present. The laser scanning system analyses the environment and produces an intelligent application, adjusted to the size of the plants. This system acts in conjunction with the fan system, activating the fans only for the spraying operation. The system uses electric motors for the fan control. This creates more performance and decreases fuel consumption. Interactive control of the vehicle is possible through a console. A fleet manager can work with several robots at the same time.
Drive train type
Mini GUSS is an autonomous vineyard and high-density orchard sprayer that allows growers and farmers to keep their crews safer than ever before.
The robot navigation is based on a two-phase navigation scheme. Primarily, a map of the area will be analysed. The operation will be planned in order to achieve the best possible performance of the vehicle. Once the vehicle is operating, it can use its onboard sensors and software to deal with any uncertainties, like obstacles or moving objects such as animals, vehicles, or persons.
