Machinery manufacturer Rauch is expanding its range of fertiliser spreaders with a new model: the Axis 25. The machine is positioned between the Axis 20 and Axis 30.

The German manufacturer, mainly known in the Netherlands for its fertiliser spreaders, presented the new model during a press conference in France. The Axis 25 is positioned between the Axis 20 and Axis 30 models, with a maximum load capacity of 2.5 tonnes and a working width of up to 42 metres.

Two sets of discs

The spreading width of the Axis 25 ranges from 12 to 42 metres. For this, two different sets of discs are required: one set for 12 to 24 metres and a second set for 24 to 42 metres. Previously, six different discs were needed for a comparable range.

Cover with dry position

Additionally, the hopper has a different shape, and the flow rate has been increased. According to Rauch, up to 675 kg of product per minute can now flow through. This means that with a large application rate, you can drive faster. Rauch also states that due to the new hopper design, granulates and similar products stick or cake less.

Finally, the protective cover at the top can now be set to a dry position after cleaning the spreader. This prevents condensation from forming on the inside. The spreader is fitted with 18 sections as standard, whereas according to Rauch, 16 sections is usually standard.

Sales from October

Sales of the Axis 25 will start in October this year. An exact price has not yet been announced, but Rauch indicates that it will fall between the prices of the Axis 20 and Axis 30. Reesink Agri from Apeldoorn (Gld.) acts as importer of Rauch in the Netherlands.
