The French machinery manufacturer Kuhn is expanding its Karan sprayer range with the new Karan 6000, in addition to the 4500 and 5200. The new Karan 6000 sprayer was introduced during a presentation near the Kuhn factory in Saverne, France.
Kuhn presents the Karan sprayer series with a model featuring a 6,000-litre tank. The capacity of the Karan 6000 has increased compared to the Metris 2 sprayer. A wider boom is also possible.
Beneath the grey cover is a redesigned filling station, including a new canister cleaner with a capacity of 40 litres and a sleeker Diluset Plus control panel. The tank can be filled at 450 l/min, or optionally at 900 l/min. Spraying is possible with a maximum of 500 l/min.
The aluminium Pommier booms are available up to 39 metres wide, but Kuhn is developing wider variants up to 45 metres. At present, only 50 cm nozzle spacing is possible. With the new booms, the machines can be supplied with 25 cm nozzle spacing. This is essential for users in the Benelux to achieve drift reduction.
Kuhn has also developed a new boom suspension, called Eagle. With height sensors, the suspension keeps the boom closely above the crop, even at 25 km/h. The clean water tank is positioned at the front, allowing Kuhn to free up the rear axle for large tyres up to 2.05 metres. The sprayer is fitted as standard with a tyre inflation system. Hydropneumatic suspension is optional.
The Karan 6000 trailed sprayer will be available in limited quantities from January 2026, alongside the 4500 and 5200. Kuhn reports that the Karan 8000 will follow at a later date.
