As the world faces escalating environmental challenges and a growing demand for sustainable food production, the agricultural sector stands at a critical crossroads. Conventional farming methods are proving insufficient in meeting the needs of a growing global population. In response, the rise of regenerative agriculture has emerged as a promising solution, offering a holistic approach to farming that restores ecosystems, improves soil health and enhances biodiversity.

The challenges we face are bigger than any singular actor can solve and will require collaboration across the agricultural system. This year’s Regenerative Agriculture Summit Europe marks a significant advancement as the focus expands beyond food systems. Join your peers and immerse yourself in an environment where ideas are exchanged, partnerships are formed, and actionable solutions emerge.

Integrating biodiversity and nature into climate strategies

Biodiversity plays a vital role in pest control, pollination, and soil health, reducing the need for chemical inputs and enhancing overall farm productivity. Embracing nature-based solutions within your climate strategies not only mitigates environmental impact but also builds a more sustainable and resilient agricultural future.

Elijah Innes-Wimsatt, the Director of Corporate Climate Solutions at Conservation International, Stéphane Hallaire, CEO of Reforest’Action and Alain Vidal, Senior Advisor for Biodiversity and Regenerative Agriculture at Quantis will be discussing what this looks like in practice at this year’s Regenerative Agriculture Summit Europe (3-5 September | Amsterdam). They’ll identify how to establish realistic KPIs for biodiversity using advanced tools to monitor and verify the impact of regenerative practices; overcome barriers to action and on-the-ground by effectively engaging the entire supply chain; and navigate strategies for water usage, wastage, and scarcity.

The role of data in regenerative agriculture

Data plays a pivotal role in mitigating risks and maximising the benefits of regenerative agriculture. As the saying goes, “You can’t manage what you can’t measure”, highlighting the necessity of robust data collection and analysis; however, its critical to understand the risks associated with fragmented data in supply chains and the potential consequences this has on corporate sustainability initiatives. The Soil Association Exchange, MSG Global Solutions, SAP and Agmatix will be discussing strategies to overcome transition risks associated with data in Amsterdam at this year’s Regenerative Agriculture Summit Europe (3-5 September | Amsterdam).

Take a look at the video below to catch up with last year’s Summit

The Regenerative Agriculture Summit Europe

The Regenerative Agriculture Summit Europe provides a platform for the implementation and acceleration of regenerative practices across the food and textiles industries. Hosting its third annual Summit in Amsterdam this 3-5 September, the Summit brings together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the food and textiles value chain – from farmer to retailer. Across three days, 550+ farmers, policy makers, industry leaders and sustainability advocates will participate in farm visits, expert-led workshops, panel discussions and interactive sessions to explore innovative solutions, supply chain transparency and traceability, case studies and real-world challenges and learnings, and leveraging data within the transition.

“A really brilliant event – the team has done an exceptionally brilliant job of building on the themes and feedback of last year and securing very strong speakers around agenda topics that really resonated.”

Caroline Brown, Managing Director – Sustainability Lead, Microsoft Business Group, Accenture

The Summit serves as a catalyst for the transition to regenerative practices within the food and textiles sectors, providing opportunities for cross-industry collaborations and partnerships to drive positive change.
