The SwarmFarm Robotics SwarmBot 5 is a robot platform currently powered with a diesel engine. Electric drive is being explored for specific applications. The robots are built as a base platform and together with third-party developers, apps and attachments are designed through a developer ecosystem. This includes spray booms, weed detection systems, mower decks and slashers, non-chemical weeding technology, planters and apple tree thinning systems. SwarmBot navigates via GPS and inertial systems. GPS denied navigation is due to be released soon. Path planning includes a return-to-refill location feature.
