Upgraded GNSS receiver offers better durability, signal stability, and processing power for autosteer systems

PTx Trimble, the joint venture between AGCO and Trimble, has introduced the NAV-960™, a next-generation GNSS receiver designed to enhance autoguidance performance across mixed-fleet operations. The new unit was unveiled at Agrishow 2025 in Brazil.

Designed as the successor to the NAV-900, the NAV-960 integrates improved satellite tracking, inertial sensing, and onboard processing to support high-precision field operations. The system is fully compatible with PTx Trimble’s GFX-series displays and steering systems, using the same cables for seamless upgrades.

Key features

According to the manufacturer, the NAV-960 offers:

Up to 50% better vehicle positioning than its predecessor Centimeter-level accuracy with Trimble CenterPoint® RTX or RTK corrections Enhanced GNSS engine and inertial sensors Quad-core processor for faster data processing and line tracking Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for easier support and future updates Rugged aluminum housing designed for dust, vibration, water, and temperature extremes It also includes Trimble ProPoint® and IonoGuard™, technologies developed to maintain signal performance during GPS interference caused by solar storms. These performance claims are based on internal testing and have not been independently verified.

Availability

The NAV-960 is available globally through PTx Trimble dealers and is designed to support both current precision needs and future technology developments.
