In 2023, the French start-up Seederal announced that it was working on the development of an electric tractor. Now, Seederal is preparing for the launch of its first prototype.

The French start-up Seederal is in the process of constructing an electric tractor. It is said to be an electric tractor with a power of 160 hp. The first prototype will be presented this year.

Planting continuously for 12 hours

To carry out the project, start-up Seederal began with an existing tractor equipped with an internal combustion engine. Once modified for electric use, the Seederal tractor turned out to be lighter than a tractor with an internal combustion engine.

The electric tractor will likely be delivered without a gearbox. The e-tractor is equipped with batteries with a range equivalent to that of a 200-liter GNR tank. Seederal expects that the e-tractor can plant continuously for 12 hours on batteries.

Seederal reports that after the launch of the prototype electric tractor, more test machines will follow. Further details about the e-tractor are still missing.
