Farm Progress 2025 saw Solinftec announces major upgrades to its Solix Ag Robotics platform, alongside an expansion into new U.S. states. The Brazilian agtech leader says these updates will make its autonomous sprayer and scouting robot more independent, reliable, and sustainable in the field.
After operating in Illinois and Indiana, Solinftec will deploy Solix units in Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Texas in 2025. COO Guilherme Guiné says the move reflects “growing demand for autonomous solutions that save resources and improve agronomic decision-making.”
As reported earlier by Future Farming in Solinftec: Reduction of 98% in herbicide volume with sprayer robot, field results have shown that Solix can significantly reduce herbicide usage while delivering real-time crop monitoring.
The latest Solix update introduces:
These improvements are designed to keep the robot working continuously and safely, with minimal operator intervention.
A new solar-powered autonomous Refill Station also made its commercial debut. It enables Solix to refill chemicals without human assistance, supporting true 24/7 operation.
Beyond spraying, Solix’s AI-powered cameras can detect weed density, pest presence, stand gaps, and crop growth stages. In Brazil, Solinftec has also demonstrated its swarm robotics approach, boosting yields as covered in Robot swarm boosts big yield in Brazil.
