Swedish manufacturer Väderstad is entering into a partnership with Ekobot AB, a Swedish manufacturer of automatic agricultural robots.

The Swedish machinery manufacturer Väderstad will collaborate with Ekobot to thoroughly examine its seeding machines and explore potential improvements.

Interested in AI system

Väderstad is particularly interested in leveraging Ekobot’s AI system, which can be applied in various ways. The goal of the initiated project is to enhance field activities, according to Ekobot. The collaboration resulted from a pitch day held by IndX in September 2023. IndX is an innovation hub in Linköping, Sweden, catering to companies like Husqvarna, Saab, Toyota, and Väderstad.

The partnership is part of an ongoing project set to conclude in September 2024. Väderstad is eagerly anticipating the outcomes of the first project.

Last week, Homburg Holland announced that it will be selling Ekobot AB’s autonomous robot systems in the Netherlands.
