The Value Line Steering solution by Topcon is a comprehensive package that includes a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, electric steering wheel controller, touchscreen console, and Horizon Lite software, compatible with front-wheel-steer tractors, and soon rear wheel steered machines such as harvesters and windrowers. Farmers also have the option to add local, satellite or RTK correction services such as Topcon’s Topnet Live for enhanced precision based on their unique needs.

What is the most striking detail of your system?
One of the most striking features of the package is its user-friendly and intuitive design, which makes it easier than ever for farmers to get the best out of the auto-steer technology. This includes an on-steer keypad that provides easy access to the most frequently used actions and integrated Horizon OS software that’s designed with the customer in mind.

How is it fitted?

The Value Line Steering solution can be fitted to most front-wheel-steer tractors, and soon rear-wheel steered machines, by simply replacing the existing steering wheel with the Topcon XW-1 electric steering wheel. The touchscreen console is then mounted via a RAM-mount within the cab. The GNSS receiver comes with multiple options for installation, including swapping plates and 3M-tape.

Can it be fitted on pre-installed or factory fitted vehicle components?

The system can be fitted on pre-installed and factory fitted vehicle components, although the system will replace the existing steering system, meaning the factory-fitted components will not be used.

Can you take the system to another vehicle?
Yes, the system is easy to install and uninstall, making it simple to transfer between vehicles. Additional cable-kits and XW-1 steering wheel modules are available to make swapping even easier.

What happens if satellite or correction signals lack or fail?
The Value Line Steering solution includes GNSS connection as standard providing accurate positioning for the farmer.

If the customer has Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) connections and SkyBridgeTM, the RTK correction will be backed by a Precise Point Positioning (PPP) satellite service. This means that the signal will automatically switch to another service to maintain the best connection possible and provide the most accurate service possible.

What patterns are available?

Value line offers a variety of patterns including:

  • Straight: Guides machinery along perfectly straight, parallel lines, ideal for rectangular fields.
  • Curved: Follows natural or manually set curves in the field, maintaining accuracy on sloped or irregular terrain.
  • Combi: Automatically switches between straight and curved guidance as needed making it simple fields that combine straight and irregular terrain.
  • Pivot: Designed for center-pivot irrigated fields, guiding equipment in concentric circles to ensure precise application and coverage around a pivot point.
  • Steer-to-Boundary: Generates guidance lines from the boundary to follow with autosteer to maximize land.
  • GuidelockTM: Generates guidance lines based upon last pass coverage, preventing overlap.
  • Headland Turns: Automatically generates and executes turns at end of rows for a seamless transition into next pass.

How often and at what costs is the software updated?
Topcon is committed to supporting farmers with free-of-charge updates throughout the year, working closely with dealers on the timing and frequency of software updates.

Which licenses/unlocks are available and at what costs?
The ISOBUS UT license costs €250 ($291, according to the exchange rate of 21-07-2025) in the European, Middle Eastern and African regions, with an additional bolt-on cost of €250 to unlock auto-turns on headlands.
