Machine manufacturer Case IH recently presented its all-new electric tractor Farmall 75C Electric at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois. CNHi partner New Holland brings the same model as T4 Electric.

With the new 74 hp Farmall 75C Electric with a maximum torque of 320 NM, Case IH is targeting a broad target group. According to the manufacturer, the zero-emission tractor feels at home in and around the yard, but also finds many applications in the stable due to the lack of a combustion engine.

Safe Mode scans the e-tractor environment

The Farmall 75C Electric has four semi-autonomous features on board, including a safety mode and Follow Me function as well as a Row Follow Mode. In addition, the electric Farmall 75C has a Safe Mode that can detect persons, animals or objects in a 360-degree area around the tractor. The Farmall 75C Electric then warns with sound and light and switches off the PTO.

Four hours of continuous work

According to the manufacturer, the Farmall ‘battery-electric vehicle’ (BEV) works continuously for 4 hours. The tractor can be loaded in three positions, normally in 11 hours or quickly in 5 or even 1 hour. In addition to a contact for charging, there is an output to supply power to accessories. The electric 55 kW motor comes from Parker.

Mechanical 12+12 transmission drives like a cvt

The e-tractor has a mechanical 12+12 transmission that is known from other Farmall tractor models (three ranges, four gears). Despite the traditional transmission, the driving experience will be very different, says Jeff Akel from Case IH, who calls it ‘jump in and drive’. The power is immediately available, giving you the feeling of driving a CVT. The new Farmall 75C Electric is only available with a cab and front loader and will be available in early 2024.
