Topcon adds ISOBUS to Opus A6 + A8 terminals

Set-up and operation functions for ISOBUS-compliant implements have been added to the Topcon Opus A6 and A8 terminals, produced by Topcon Electronics in Germany.

It adds another dimension to the existing hardware and software development platform says Topcon, providing customers with a ready-made ISOBUS solution.

Topcon Opus A6 ISOBUS 013x2

The Topcon Opus A6 terminal has 4GB storage memory and display operated by touch and/or numerous function buttons and a scrolling dial.

The agriculture industry standard Universal Terminal (UT) function provides compatibility with a wide range of compliant electronic control units on tractors, implements and other equipment.

It includes additional functionality such as AUX-N support, which enables implements to be operated through input devices such as a joystick.

Opus A6 and Opus A8

The task controller provides the ability to apply single or multiple products at variable rates, and TC-SC provides section control in multiple steps for sprayer booms, pneumatic spreader booms and broadcasting fertiliser spreaders.

Topcon Opus A8 ISOBUS 013x2

Topcon’s Opus A8 is a 12.1in touch screen display with 8GB storage and – like the Opus A6 – is now available with isobus functionality.

The Opus A6 terminal has 4GB of storage beneath a 7in TFT colour display with touch control, LED backlit keys to the left and right, and a scrolling dial, while the Opus A8, which has a 12.1in LCD display with LED backlighting and is purely touch operated, has 8GB of storage.

Both terminals have CAN Bus, RS232, USB, video and Ethernet interfaces and installation options for the Opus A6 include a vehicle cab panel insert or RAM mounts kit, which allows the terminal to be adjusted to the operator’s chosen position.
