German machinery manufacturer NeXat has launched the commercial sale of its innovative implement carrier in Brazil. Following a 3-year test period, Brazilian farmers can now place orders for the system.
NeXat, the German producer of ‘wide span’ implement carriers, has begun selling its NeXat system in Brazil. After being tested under local field conditions for 3 years, the system is now available for order. The first deliveries are expected in 2025.
Announcement at Bahia Farm Show
The announcement was made during the Bahia Farm Show, one of Brazil’s largest agricultural exhibitions. For the Brazilian market, NeXat has established a local subsidiary responsible for supplying the equipment and associated services.
Operating on permanent lanes
The system is based on Widespan Controlled Traffic Farming (WS-CTF), where agricultural machines always travel on fixed lanes in order to prevent soil compaction.
NeXat’s wide implement carriers work the entire field in a single pass, leaving the remaining soil undisturbed. According to the manufacturer, this improves water management and enhances soil fertility.
Suitable for large-scale farming
According to NeXat, the system is well-suited to Brazil, where large-scale farming operations are common. The country is one of the world’s leading producers of crops such as soybeans and maize. It is not yet known whether the NeXat implement carrier will also become available in Europe.nd.
